3 possible replacements for Aaron Boone as Yankees slump continues ft. Troy Snitker

The New York Yankees keep on plumetting, as Aaron Boone's team floundered again in a 9-1 loss to divisional rivals Tampa Bay Rays at home. The lifeless offence coupled with the starters' inability to regain peak form has resulted in disastrous results for the team once leading all of baseball. That has prompted many to question Boone's position as manager.

The Yankees had a 50-22 record on June 15, but, since then, they seemed to have lost all their momentum, losing 19 of 28 games. It's also the nature in which they have lost that is a point of concern. The offence has slumped to a .222 average this month, while the pitching has been generating an ERA in excess of 4.34 since the month of June.

Brian Snitker's son, Troy, the batting coach for the Houston Astros, has been one of the major reasons why they have had such a hold on the American League in the past few seasons.

Snitker was promoted to the team's batting co-batting coach position in 2019, and it's fair to say that no matter who bats in the lineup, they end up performing. There were reports that suggested the 34-year-old was being considered by the Guardians in the offseason, a possibility that could be considered by the Bombers.
