After six months of grueling baseball, comprising 162 games, the MLB regular season will end on Sept. 29, leading to the World Series. It will up the stage for the most important and exciting month of baseball, October.

This is the month when teams lock horns with the best in baseball on their way to appearing in the World Series. The best teams out of the American and National League collide for the Fall Classic Title.

There are several teams all eyeing lifting the World Series. Let's take a look at who has the best shot at doing so in November.

The Baltimore Orioles are one of the few teams in the regular season that have given a tough fight to the New York Yankees in 2024. They're almost a fix for the postseason; it's about how deep they can go with a young roster.

Possessing the likes of Gunnar Henderson, Corbin Burnes and Adley Rutschman, the Orioles have the personnel to deliver this fall.

#4 Arizona Diamondbacks

The Diamondbacks almost did it last year, and another surprising postseason awaits them.

They occupy the first Wild Card spot and are a fearsome team under Torey Lovullo. Most importantly, they are not dependent on the form of one or two players; everyone chips in for wins. However, a special mention goes to Ketel Marte, who's having an incredible season.

They will have a tough road ahead, but it's something they achieved last year, and some believe them to be a dark horse for the 2024 World Series.

#3 Philadelphia Phillies

In the past few years, there have always been a series of missed chances for the Phillies.

They lost the 2022 World Series against the Dusty Baker-led Houston Astros and fell just short of making consecutive appearances after going down against the DBacks in seven games of the NLCS.

For most of the year, they were the best team in baseball. Although they have hit a snag post-the All-Star break, they have once again gone back to a winning formula. Bryce Harper's team is perfectly balanced on both sides of the plate. Maybe this is the year when they win it all.

#2 New York Yankees

The Yankees only have Juan Soto for one year, assuming he goes somewhere else in free agency after the season.

They should make the combo of Aaron Judge and Soto count. Baseball pundits believe this is the best year for the Yankees to end their World Series drought since 2009.

Aaron Judge is leading the ship from the front, with Juan Soto co-piloting it. On the defense, Gerrit Cole is making strides at the right time, and even their trade deadline acquisition of Jazz Chisholm has been everything they envisioned.

Apart from living up to expectations, not much can go wrong with them.

#1 Los Angeles Dodgers

On paper, they are the most formidable team in all of baseball. The Dodgers started their World Series quest way earlier than most other teams. They signed the best Japanese stars, Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto, to long-term historic contracts.

Acquiring Tyler Glasnow and Teoscar Hernandez has also brought fruitful returns, and now World Series triumphs await them. However, there are a few concerns regarding their pitching, with both their star hurlers, Clayton Kershaw and Walker Buehler, not in good form.

However, Yamamoto will return soon, and the All-Star trio of Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman should make up for any lapses on defense.
