Aaron played as a third baseman in MLB from 1997 to 2009.

Throughout his career, he was part of several teams including the Cincinnati Reds (1997–2003), New York Yankees (2003), Cleveland Indians (2005–2006), Florida Marlins (2007), Washington Nationals (2008), and Houston Astros (2009). His final appearance in MLB occurred on October 4, 2009, while playing for the Houston Astros. Boone is best remembered for his performance with the Yankees in 2003 when he hit an iconic walk-off home run that clinched victory in the American League Championship Series. He was also named an All-Star that year while representing the Yankees. In 2018, he took on the role of manager for the team.
