Ken Kendrick has served as the managing general partner of the Arizona Diamondbacks since 2004. He was notable for being a charter member of the ownership group that brought the team to Phoenix, Arizona, United States, also known as the “Valley of the Sun.” Hailing from Princeton, West Virginia, United States, he attended West Virginia University.

Kendrick gained his fortune from his software development company Datatel, which is now known as Ellucian. He also invested in Woodforest National Bank. Notably, he is also the largest shareholder of the Arizona Diamondbacks. Under his leadership, the Arizona Diamondbacks played in the postseason thrice and played the NLCS twice in their career so far. Moreover, the team also hosted the MLB All-Star Game in Chase Field in 2011. He also opened a Spring Training facility, often considered to be the best in baseball in Salt River Fields at Talking Stick as per the official MLB website.

Ken Kendrick is also involved in the day-to-day operations of the Arizona Diamondbacks. He hired Mike Hazen, which in turn led to the hiring of Torey Lovullo as the manager of the team. He also formed a 20-year extension deal with Bally Sports Arizona in 2016, which is regarded as the largest financial transaction in the history of the team. He reduced the $350 million team debt through equity and debt restructures. Ken Kendrick was included in the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum Board of Directors in 2020.
