The Arizona Diamondbacks are a professional baseball team located in Phoenix, Arizona. Founded in 1998, they rank among the youngest franchises in Major League Baseball (MLB). Often referred to as the D-backs, they play in the National League West Division and host their games at Chase Field.

In their inaugural season of 1999, Arizona achieved an impressive record with 100 victories and clinched their first division championship. The Diamondbacks have secured two National League pennants, their first came in 2001 and most recently in 2023 when they won over the Philadelphia Phillies in the National League Championship Series to reach the World Series. Between 1998 and 2023, their overall win-loss record read 1,998–2,112 (.486). The team's colors include Sedona red, black, and Sonoran sand. Their mascot, D. Baxter the Bobcat, introduced in 2000, is named after Bank One Ballpark (B.O.B.), their original home field.
