The Atlanta Braves have been around for 149 seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB) as of 2024. The team was formed in 1871 as the Boston Red Stockings and has since undergone location and several name changes, before relocating to Atlanta and becoming the Atlanta Braves in 1966. Since the team’s formation, they have belonged to the National League (NL). However, they were a member of the NL West Division from 1969 to 1993, before joining the NL East Division in 1994.
The Atlanta Braves have gone on to the World Series 10 times in their career and won it four times. They also won the National League (NL) title 18 times.
