Austin Riley is an American third baseman who plays for the Atlanta Braves of Major League Baseball. Austin attended DeSoto Central High School, where he played baseball.

The slugger began his baseball career as a pitcher and shortstop for DeSoto Central High School. Throughout his sophomore high school years, Austin Riley was a quarterback for the American football team.

In 2019, Austin debuted in the MLB with the Braves. He became a prominent player, hitting 300 with at least 30 home runs and 100 RBIs in 2021. Austin won the World Series and the Silver Slugger Award in the same season.

Austin received his second consecutive nomination as a reserve infielder for the National League in the 2023 Major League Baseball All-Star Game at the midpoint of the 2023 season.
