Blake Ashton Snell, hailing from Seattle, Washington, United States, has officially joined the Los Angeles Dodgers in Major League Baseball (MLB) as of February 2025. Better known as Blake Snell, with the nickname of "Snellzilla", he started his MLB journey with the Tampa Bay Rays in 2016 and has represented other teams like the San Diego Padres and the San Francisco Giants over nine years (2016 to 2024).

Blake Snell made his first MLB appearance with the Tampa Bay Rays on April 23, 2016. He played his first MLB All-Star game and won his first AL All-Star award in 2018. Dave Snell, the father of Blake, is a former MLB player who was drafted by the Kansas City Royals in 1983 and played in the minor leagues with the Seattle Mariners as per the official website of Shoreline Community College. He established the Seattle Select Baseball program in 2005. As of February 2025, he serves as the baseball head coach for Shoreline Community College and has been the associate head coach and the pitching coach for the college in the past.
