"Brought my muscles to do the restock" - Jackson Holliday's wife Chloe shares how she put Orioles' top prospect to work at grocery store

Although O's prospect Jackson Holliday might have some time to wait before his return to MLB, that does not mean that the infielder is not being useful. Recently, the youngster's wife, Chloe, shared how her husband's physique plays to her advantage.

Chloe posted an Instagram story of Jackson hauling a heavy bag of groceries. She wrote on the picture that she brought her "muscles to do the re-stock" with her.

Jackson, the son of former St. Louis Cardinals star Matt Holliday, first met Chloe Cox when they were students at Stillwater High School in Stillwater, Oklahoma. After getting engaged in December 2022 during a trip to Mexico, the couple officially tied the knot on Jan. 6, 2024.

The first overall pick by the Baltimore Orioles in the 2022 MLB draft, Jackson Holliday first started playing with the Delmarva Shorebirds of the Carolina League before being promoted to Triple-A Norfolk. In April 2024, he was finally called up to MLB and made his O's debut on April 10 against the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park.

Unfortunately for the Orioles, Jackson's initial stint in MLB did not yield results. In 10 games, the 20-year-old only managed to go 2-for-34 with five hits, one RBI and 18 strikeouts. However, judging by the solid figures that the shortstop continues to put up in Triple-A Norfolk, many expect his return to the league to happen before very long.

Jackson Holliday's Triple-A success will be rewarded in due course

In 50 games this season with Triple-A Norfolk, Holliday is hitting .270/.433/.466 with seven home runs and 28 RBIs. While his first spell in MLB did not go as planned, there remains tremendous faith in the young star from his team, with O's GM Mike Elias even saying:

“He’s a brilliant talent and a very sharp kid, and I expect he’s going to go implement those adjustments really quickly. But we felt that Triple-A and steady playing time in Triple-A was the place for that.”

Although the laid-back nature of Triple-A might give him more time for his wife, Chloe, it is undoubtedly true that the young prospect is itching to get back to the major league.
