Byron Keiron Buxton, also known by his nickname, ‘Buck’, is an American professional baseball player. He currently plays as a center fielder and designated hitter for the Minnesota Twins in Major League Baseball (MLB). He was born on December 18, 1993, in Baxley, Georgia, U.S.

Buxton attended Appling County High School. He used to play three different sports in high school they were; baseball, basketball, and football. He was even part of the high school teams of these sports. He was selected for a baseball scholarship program at the University of Georgia. The center fielder was selected in the 2012 MLB draft by the Minnesota Twins. He was selected in the first round and was the second overall pick. He made his debut with the Twins in 2015 and has been with the same team ever since.
