Byron Keiron Buxton, also known by his nickname, ‘Buck’, is an American professional baseball player. He currently plays as a center fielder and designated hitter for the Minnesota Twins in Major League Baseball (MLB). He was born on December 18, 1993, in Baxley, Georgia, U.S.

Buxton attended Appling County High School. He used to play three different sports in high school they were; baseball, basketball, and football. The center fielder was selected in the 2012 MLB draft by the Minnesota Twins. He was selected in the first round and was the second overall pick.
