Charlie Condon High School

Charles Merrill Condon, born on April 14, 2003, is an American collegiate baseball player known for his roles as a baseman and outfielder with the Georgia Bulldogs. Standing at 6 feet 6 inches, Condon is a leading contender for the No. 2 pick in the 2024 MLB Draft, according to MLB Pipeline. He showcased his talents at The Walker School in Marietta, Georgia, where he earned the 2021 Hitter of the Year award. Condon baseball career going top at the University of Georgia. During his freshman year in 2022, he had an outstanding season, achieving a .386 batting average, hitting 25 home runs, and driving in 67 RBIs, thereby winning the team's Triple Crown.

As a redshirt sophomore in 2024, Condon made history by becoming the first Georgia player to win both the Dick Howser Trophy and the Golden Spikes Award. Additionally, he received the Bobby Bragan National Collegiate Slugger Award, marking another first for the program. Currently, Condon maintains a .410 batting average, with notable stats including 30 doubles, two triples, 62 home runs, 145 RBIs, and 90 walks over 116 games, all of which he started. Charles Merrill Condon attended The Walker School in Marietta, Georgia, where he played baseball under coach Dan Garofano. During his high school career, Condon posted impressive statistics, including a .515 batting average as a junior and a .432 average with a 1.310 OPS as a senior. He was named the 2021 Hitter of the Year in the Region and earned a spot on the First Team All-Region. His contributions helped the Wolverines reach the Sweet Sixteen in the state playoffs during his senior year.

As a four-year starter, Condon led his team in multiple categories, including hits, RBIs, and doubles. He also played some other sports for the school team like a four-year letterman in school football and served as quarterback. Condon has had some academic success at the National Honor Society and the National Spanish Honor Society.

In addition to his high school achievements, Condon played summer baseball with the 643 DP Cougars. In 2020, he hit .407 with six home runs and was named MVP of the Perfect Game 2020 17U Southeast Selection Championships and to the All-Tournament Team at the WWBA World Championships. In 2021, he continued his success by batting .389 with six home runs in 50 at-bats during summer action.
