Chase Burns is a college baseball player for the Wake Forest Demon Deacons, where he plays as a Pitcher. He joined the Wake Forest Demon Deacons baseball team in 2024, representing Wake Forest University. Prior to this, he also played for the Tennessee Volunteers baseball team from 2022 to 2023, serving as a Pitcher for two seasons. Chase Burns has been drafted in the 20th round of the 2021 Major League Baseball draft by the San Diego Padres, however, he chose to play for the Tennessee Volunteers instead.

He was honored as the Freshman Pitcher of the Year by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association at the end of the 2022 season playing for the Tennessee Volunteers. In his sophomore season in 2023, Chase maintained a strong performance, finishing the season with a 5-3 record, two saves, a 4.25 ERA, and 114 strikeouts over 72 innings pitched. Chase Burns, projected as the top prospect in the 2024 MLB Draft, transferred from Tennessee to Wake Forest and made an impact during the 2023 College World Series by throwing six scoreless innings as a reliever.
