Chase Burns is a college baseball player for the Wake Forest Demon Deacons, with an athletic journey that began at a young age. He started playing baseball at the age of ten for the De Soto Dodgers, a small organization based in Southaven, Mississippi. Over the years, Chase also played for Rawlings Southeast and the Canes.

Going forward, Chase was selected in the 20th round by the San Diego Padres in the 2021 Major League Baseball draft but chose not to sign with the team and instead continued his collegiate baseball career with the Tennessee Volunteers, beginning in 2022. However, after two seasons, he transferred himself to the Wake Forest Demon Deacons for the 2024 season. In midst of that, Burns has received several accolades for his outstanding performance on the field. This includes the ACC Pitcher of the Year award in 2024, Collegiate Baseball Co-Freshman National Player of the Year award in and NCBWA Freshman Pitcher of the Year in 2022. Additionally, at the end of the 2022 season, Chase was named the Freshman Pitcher of the Year by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association. He is also a top prospect for the upcoming 2024 MLB Draft.
