Chase first played college baseball for the Georgia Southern Eagles before transferring to Tennessee for his sophomore season. He won the Southeastern Conference Pitcher of the Year honor that year and has entered the 2023 season as the clear top arm in the Draft.
His devastating throws 95-97 mph fastball regularly, sometimes peaking at 99 while producing elite swing-and-miss rates with its combination of velocity and carry.
