Stephen Guy Vogt, nicknamed “I Believe”, is a newcomer manager in the world of Major League Baseball (MLB). He started out his baseball career as a high school and college baseball player before being drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays in 2007. Throughout his playing career between 2012-22, he played for teams like the Tampa Bay Rays, with the Oakland Athletics over two separate stints, Milwaukee Brewers, San Francisco Giants, Arizona Diamondbacks and the Atlanta Braves. Moreover, his playing career saw him become a two-time MLB All-Star in 2015 and 2016 respectively. Moreover, he also won the World Series with the Atlanta Braves in 2021.
Post his retirement as a player, Vogt channeled his experiences and transitioned into a coach for the Seattle Mariners as he became their bullpen and quality control coach for the 2023 season. Stephen Vogt is the son of Randy Vogt and the late Toni L. Vogt. Notably, he belongs from a baseball family as his father, Randy Vogt, is a former college baseball player who played at Fresno City before playing his junior season for the Fresno State Bulldogs baseball team. He then decided to retire from his baseball career and became an accoutant. However, his love for the sport did not end there as he later became the head coach of the Central Valley Christian baseball team in 1998. His eldest Danny was a sophomore then while his youngest son Stephen served as the batboy. On the other hand, the late Toni L. Vogt served as the co-founder, owner and president of PRISM Weight Loss Program. Besides raising her two sons, she also helped organizations through active volunteering like Visalia Rescue Mission, Neighborhood Church, Friends of the Fox (Visalia Fox Theater) and Central Valley Christian Schools among others. Unfortunately, she passed away on July 28, 2016 at the age of 59 years.

Stephen Vogt is married to his wife Alyssa Vogt. The couple first got acquainted with each other at Azusa Pacific University where she was a women’s college basketball player for the University team. The couple soon started a romantic relationship and eventually tied the knt in 2010.
Presently a homemaker as per her Facebook profile, she also worked as the coach of the Tumwater High School girl’s basketball team in the past. Moreover, the couple together support the School of Imagination in Dublin, California, which aims to help children with special needs, developmental disorders like autism and disabilities.
