The Cleveland Guardians, formerly known as the Cleveland Indians, were originally formed in 1894 as the Grand Rapids Rustlers. They then relocated to Cleveland in 1900 and used various names throughout the years until they settled on the name of the Cleveland Indians in 1915. They kept the name till 2021 and rebranded themselves as the Cleveland Guardians after criticism regarding their mascot and logo.
