Salvatore Anthony “Torey” Lovullo is an Italian-American manager of the Arizona Diamondbacks in Major League Baseball (MLB). He had been a former 2nd baseman in MLB and played for the Detroit Tigers, New York Yankees, California Angels, Seattle Mariners, Oakland Athletics, Cleveland Indians and Philadelphia Phillies. He had also coached the Toronto Blue Jays and Boston Red Sox and won the World Series in 2013 with the Boston Red Sox. He first became a manager in the minor leagues. This is the first time he has led the Diamondbacks to the World Series. Lovullo is one of the longest managers to be active in the MLB. As part of the Diamondbacks, he is notable for being the fastest manager to help the team win their 100 games and also make it his 100th win as a manager. Lovullo and the Arizona Diamondbacks became the runner up of the 2023 MLB World Series Championship. He has achieved a win-loss record of 506-549 with a win-loss% of 48.0% as of April 2024.
