The New York Yankees claimed their 24th World Series title by beating the San Diego Padres 4-0 in the games.

New York Yankees vs Atlanta Braves (1999)

The New York Yankees and the Atlanta Braves competed for the World title at the 1999 World Series as per Champs or Chumps. This was once again, a best-of-four game series and it took place from October 23, 1999 to October 27, 1999. Joe Torre returned as the manager of the New York Yankees while Bobby Cox managed the Atlanta Braves. The New York Yankees completely swept the Atlanta Braves 4-0 in the games and won their 25th World Series title.

New York Yankees vs New York Mets (2000)

The New York Yankees and the New York Mets battled it out at the 2000 World Series for the title as per Champs or Chumps. This was a best-of-five game series played between October 21, 2000, to October 26, 2000. Joe Torre, once again was the manager of the New York Yankees, while the New York Mets were being managed by Bobby Valentine. The New York Yankees defeated the New York Mets 4-1 in the games and won their twenty-sixth World Series title.

Notably, the New York Yankees had picked up three straight World Series titles in three years.
