Druw Jones is an American professional baseball outfielder who was born on November 28, 2003, in Georgia, U.S. The Arizona Diamondbacks selected Jones in the 2022 MLB draft. He was their second overall pick.

As a child, Jones used to practise hitting tee balls off of water bottles. While attending Wesleyan School in Peachtree Corners, Georgia, Jones concentrated more on basketball during the academic year rather than playing organized baseball on travel teams. He was a basketball player until he requested to try out for the baseball team halfway through his ninth-grade year. He hit .445 with 16 home runs and 39 runs batted in (RBIs) as a junior in 2021, earning him the title of Gwinnett Daily Post Baseball Player of the Year. In 2022, Jones recorded a .570 batting average, 13 home runs, 39 RBIs, 72 runs, 33 walks, and 32 stolen bases before the end of his senior year. Jones joined the Diamondbacks and it was disclosed on July 26, 2022, that Jones had a left shoulder injury during his first hitting session with the team. On August 3, 2022, he had a successful surgery to fix his shoulder's posterior labrum.
