The fantasy baseball season will resume on Friday when MLB teams return from the All-Star break. After a few days off, managers will not only need to make sure that they set their lineups but they will also need to make sure they are staying up to date with their league's waiver wire.
Finding the right player at the right time can give fantasy baseball managers an advantage over their opponents. While not every player claimed off the waiver wire will have an impact for the entire season, they can do enough to lead teams to a weekly victory or a boost in the standings.
Here's a look at some waiver wire players to target in fantasy baseball leagues

Brenton Doyle
There is a chance that fantasy baseball managers may have missed the opportunity to add Brenton Doyle off the waiver wire, however, with a 44.6% ownership on ESPN he may still be available. The Colorado Rockies outfielder has been tremendous this year and could hold value for the remainder of the season.

The Rockies slugger has hit 5 home runs in his last 10 games, pushing his season total to 15. He has contributed in a number of categories, adding 20 stolen bases, 42 RBIs, and 55 runs scored this year.
Jacob Wilson
According to MLB insider Martin Gallegos, the Oakland Athletics will promote top prospect Jacob Wilson to the majors. A first-round pick in the 2023 MLB Draft, Wilson has been crushing the ball in the minors this season, posting an impressive .438 batting average this year. He is certainly worthy of a pick-up in fantasy leagues.
Jameson Taillon
He may not be a name that many fantasy baseball managers will get excited about however Jameson Taillon has been a solid run for the Chicago Cubs lately. Over his last 5 starts, the veteran starter has posted an impressive 4-1 with an ERA of 3.13 and 32 strikeouts.
"The Cubs' top four starters were nails in the first half of the season: Justin Steele: 2.71 ERA, Shota Imanaga: 2.97 ERA, Jameson Taillon: 3.10 ERA, Javier Assad: 3.27 ERA" - @CEmma670
Taillon has been inconsistent at times, so managers may not want to pick him up, but riding this hot streak for at least another start could be worthwhile. Considering the injuries that have plagued pitchers this season, Taillon might be an essential addition for some squads.
