The 31-year-old was born in Sainagua, Dominican Republic on March 21, 1993. Montas is playing as a pitcher for the MLB side New York Mets. He is a former team member of other MLB teams such as the Boston Red Sox (2009–2013), Oakland Athletics (2016–2022), Cincinnati Reds (2024), Chicago White Sox (2013–2015), New York Yankees (2022-2023), and Los Angeles Dodgers (2016).
Frankie Montas signed with the Boston Red Sox as an international free agent in 2009. He was traded to the White Sox four years later in 2013. After making his debut in the MLB in 2015, Montas was again traded to the LA Dodgers the following season.
