Hailing from Villa Park, California, United States, Frederick Charles Freeman is a veteran member of Major League Baseball (MLB). He was initially drafted by the Atlanta Braves as the #78th overall pick in the 2007 MLB draft and arrived in MLB with the team on September 1, 2010. Since then, he has been a member of the team till 2021. In 2022, he joined the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Freddie Freeman’s most notable accomplishments so far include winning the MLB World Series with the Atlanta Braves in 2021. Moreover, he is also an eight-time MLB All-Star player with eight NL All-Star awards to show for it. He was also the NL MVP in 2020. Notably, before starting his professional baseball career, Freddie Freeman played baseball at Little League. This was followed by his varsity baseball career at El Modena High School in Orange, California, United States.

Strained Right Oblique

Freddie Freeman suffered his first injury in MLB in the form of a strained right oblique on April 7, 2013, as per the MLB official site. However, he continued to play through his discomfort while grabbing at his sides frequently. This caused the Atlanta Braves to place him on the 15-day disabled list. He was then reactivated on April 22, 2013.

Freddie Freeman again suffered from a strained right oblique on August 4, 2014, and was placed on the 15-day disabled list as per the MLB official site. He was then reactivated on August 19, 2015.

Right Wrist Contusion

Freddie Freeman suffered from a right wrist contusion on June 23, 2015, as per the MLB official site. He initially left a game against the Boston Red Sox after consistently playing 243 games in his career. However, he continued to play through discomfort for the next three games. Then he received a cortisone shot. However, his discomfort continued and it was found that he had suffered a bone bruise. As a result, he was placed on the 15-day disabled list by the Atlanta Braves. He eventually returned on August 19, 2015.

Left Wrist Fracture

Freddie Freeman suffered from a left wrist fracture on May 18, 2017, as per the MLB official site. It happened after he was hit by a 94-mph fastball from Aaron Loup during a game against the Toronto Blue Jays. However, he still had hopes for a miracle until an MRI and CT scan revealed the fracture. As a result, he was out of the game for 10 weeks.

Elbow

Freddie Freeman suffered from a right elbow soreness on September 13, 2019, as per Fox Sports. This resulted after he jammed his elbow when he dove to his right side to prevent a grounder from Yan Gomes in the third inning of the game. This caused an agitation due to a bone spur that had caused him discomfort in the past. He received treatment for the remainder of the game as per the MLB official site.

Finger

Freddie Freeman suffered from a hairline fracture on the middle finger of his right hand on August 17, 2024, as per True Blue LA. This happened after he jammed his finger on a ground ball during a game against the St. Louis Cardinals. However, he was not placed on the injured list but was given the option to play if he wanted to.

Ankle

Freddie Freeman suffered from an ankle injury on September 26, 2024, as per True Blue LA. This was due to him grounding out and landing awkwardly on his right foot when he passed the bag at first base and rolled his ankle. He was walking with a limp and hence was replaced in the top of the eighth inning.
