For Freddie Freeman's wife, Chelsea, social media has always been a way to shed light on the issues important to her. As Hurricane Milton gathers momentum in the Gulf of Mexico, several MLB wives took to Instagram to offer their thoughts to the people of Florida, who will be among those most impacted.

Although the Freemans now make home in LA, the family have roots in the state. Chelsea Freeman (nee Goff) was born in Florida in 1991 and graduated from the University of Central Florida, where she was studying when she first met her future husband, Freddie.

On her Instagram, Chelsea indicated that she was "praying for friends and family" living in Florida. Along with her wishes was an informational depiction showing the intensity of Hurricane Milton, expected to bring winds over 200 miles per hour to the Gulf Coast later this week.

Samantha Tucker, wife of Houston Astros outfielder Kyle Tucker, also took to her Instagram to offer her thoughts in the midst of his natural disaster. Both Kyle Tucker and his wife are from the Tampa area.

Freddie Freeman and his wife Chelsea split their time between her native Florida and his home state of California, where he also plays for the LA Dodgers. Now the parents of three boys, motherhood features alongside social causes on Chelsea's social media accounts.

After dating through Freddie Freeman's debut seasons for the Atlanta Braves, and Chelsea's final years of college, the couple married in Miami Beach, Florida in 2014. That year, Chelsea penned a glowing note about her husband:

“He makes me smile every single day, he encourages me when I'm down, he still opens my car door, he's learned to buy me a card and flowers every birthday, I've watched him mature into the amazing man he is today. He is the first and only man I have ever loved... 3 years ago he asked me to be his girlfriend. And I'm sure glad he did.”

As Chelsea's loved ones prepare for the strong winds and damage that Milton will bring, the Freemans are keeping her home state in mind from California.
