Gabriel José Moreno is a Venezuelan professional baseball player. He plies his trade as a catcher for the Arizona Diamondbacks of Major League Baseball (MLB).

Moreno was born February 14, 2000, in a small town in Venezuela to parents Jose and Marianela. He grew up in Barquisimeto, a city in northwestern Venezuela. Moreno picked up playing baseball at a very young age and played a lot with his siblings. He was first spotted by a scouting coordinator working for the Blue Jays' named Francisco Plasencia in South America at an academy. It was here that Moreno started believing in his professional dream. The Toronto Blue Jays picked up Moreno as an international free agent on August 3, 2016. He made his professional debut with the Rookie-level Dominican Summer League Blue Jays in 2017. He finally made his major league debut with the Toronto Blue Jays in 2022. Moreno recorded his first hit in the majors on June 11, 2022, and hit his first career home run (a three-run shot) on October 5, 2022.

Moreno was traded to the Arizona Diamondbacks on December 23, 2022, two months after making his professional debut with the Blue Jays. He was exchanged alongside Lourdes Gurriel Jr. for Daulton Varsho. Moreno has amassed 43 runs, and 119 hits, with 57 RBIs, at an average of .290 in 410 at-bats in his career up until now.
