
George Springer III is an American outfielder for the Toronto Blue Jays in Major League Baseball (MLB). He was picked by the Astros in the first round of the 2011 MLB draft. George Springer was born on September 19, 1989, in New Britain, Connecticut.
Springer attended the University of Connecticut and was voted Big East Conference Baseball Player of the Year as well as a First Team All-American. Springer was an MLB All-Star, Silver Slugger Award winner, and World Series champion in 2017. He was also voted the 2017 World Series MVP after hitting a record-tying five home runs in the Astros' seven-game victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers. He was an All-Star in 2018, 2019, and 2022.
