Gleyber David Torres of Caracas, Venezuela, has been serving as a member of the New York Yankees in Major League Baseball (MLB) for seven years as of 2024. Going by the nickname of “De Caracas”, he first signed with the Chicago Cubs as an international free agent in 2013 and kickstarted his professional career for the AZL Cubs of the Arizona League (now known as Arizona Complex League).
The Chicago Cubs traded Gleyber Torres to the New York Yankees in 2016 and he eventually made his MLB debut on April 22, 2018 with the New York Yankees.
