After missing the entirety of last season on account of injury, Gavin Lux is content to be back in the Dodgers' lineup. On Tuesday, the infielder's fiancee played a notable gag on him in honor of Women's Night at Dodger Stadium.

To mark the occasion, all the respective spouses and girlfriends of Dodgers players got to choose their partner's walk-up music. Although Lux usually walks up to "Business" by Eminem, his fiancee Molly has better ideas.

After the game, Lux was asked about Molly's choice of song. Although she selected "Diva" by Beyonce, the Wisconsin native quipped that "I wanted SkeeYee by Sexyy Red."

Molly's choice seemed to have paid dividends, as Gavin Lux went 2-for-4 with a double and a pair of RBIs in his team's 5-2 win over the San Francisco Giants.

Lux was not the only member of his team to relegate music selections. Mamiko Tanaka, the wife of Shohei Ohtani, chose a song called "il vento d'oro", a tune from the popular Japanese anime Jojo's Bizarre Adventures.

A first round Los Angeles Dodgers draft pick in 2016, Lux made his MLB debut in 2019 at the age of 21. Though Gavin Lux has struggled to a .226 batting average this season, the 26 year-old has hit .438/.438/.1000 with 2 home runs and 5 RBIs over his past sixteen trips to the dish.

Gavin Lux is back in competitive form

After a rocky spring training, LA manager Dave Roberts eventually removed Lux from shortstop in favor of Mookie Betts. However, with Betts out of the lineup, Lux has been pulling his weight, and told MLB.com about his strong performance on Tuesday:

"Just trying to be a little bit more aggressive, once you get a good pitch in the zone, try to end the at-bat there, move it forward, hope it hits the barrel. Overall, just trying to be aggressive with my swing, my load and try not to be safe. I think that’s the big takeaway I’ve had."

Gavin Lux might not be playing Beyonce to usher in his plate appearances next game, but judging by his performance on Tuesday, maybe he should try.
