Astros star second baseman Jose Altuve has been enjoying the offseason by spending quality time with wife Nina and their two daughters. The happy couple is enjoying time touring France and Italy as a part of a relaxing European trip. Nina took to social media to post a series of pictures of her various dazzling outfits while exploring the City of Love.
She could be seen rocking a black dress in front of the Eiffel Tower, donning a blissful red while sipping wine at a luxurious restaurant and capturing some snaps of some of the most iconic spots in Paris. She also shared an image of the Roman Coliseum. Take a look at the snapshots here:
Jose Altuve and Nina are childhood sweethearts and have been together since crossing paths for the first time in Venezuela. The couple has been married for more than a decade now and exchanged vows when they were teenagers living in Venezuela. They are proud parents to two daughters.
Jose had signed with the Astros in 2008 and slowly but steadily moved up the ranks in the minor league before making his big league debut in 2011. Since then he has never looked back and has gone on to become the face of the organization, clinching two World Series and nine All-Star nods among many other startling honors over the years.
Jose Altuve's wife, on the other hand, is a successful bioanalyst by profession and also has expertise as a purchasing representative. But most importantly, she, along with Jose, engages in various charitable works to aid the struggling and the poor in various strata of life.
Jose Altuve and Nina are deeply involved in charity work
Over the years, the couple has been involved with a lot of charity work. In 2023, they hosted a toy drive during the Christmas holidays to bring smiles to the faces of underprivileged kids.
A year before that, they conducted the same event for children in their hometown in Venezuela. Reflecting on this in an interview with MLB.com, Jose Altuve said:
"It feels good to help people, honestly. My family and I, we do a bunch of things back home in Venezuela, but we also do things here in Houston."
The couple has partnered with the Astros Foundation on several occasions to raise money for those in need, including veterans, the homeless, and underprivileged children in Houston.
