For Ronald Acuna Jr., one of the few silver linings of the MLB 2024 season was the support offered by his wife after his season-ending injury. Recently, Maria Laborde, Acuna's wife, took to Instagram to show off her style.

On October 19, Maria took to her personal Instagram account to show off some snaps of her latest outfit. Clad in a printed sweater and wearing a red sling bag, Maria posed in multiple shots to show off some stylish denim boots with some inspirational words added for flare.

"Be the kind of woman that makes other women want to be you" - marialaborde

Like her husband Ronald, Maria is a native of Venezuela. A graduate of Universidad Central de Venezuela to complete her studies in social communications, Laborde was also crowned Miss Teen Carabobo at a 2015 teenage beauty pageant.

"Ronald got married today. He's absolutely having a monster night tonight" - Dayton from Nebraska

The pair met in 2019, when Ronald Acuna Jr. was in his sophomore season with the Atlanta Braves. The couple tied the knot in 2023, and have two children.

In 2023, Ronald Acuna Jr. was crowned the NL MVP after becoming the first player to hit 40 or more homers while stealing at least 70 bases. However, dreams of a repeat season were cut short in late May, when the star tore his ACL in a game against the Pittsburgh Pirates. For Acuna, it was his second such injury since the summer of 2021.

Although he has not played since, offseason rehab has rendered Acuna's likelihood of returning for opening day 2025 favorable.

Ronald Acuna Jr. is eager to get back into action for Atlanta

When he is healthy, Acuna is one of the most effective all-around players in the game. Now in the throes of the offseason, the Braves star is undertaking a regime to ensure he is back in action as soon as possible, as he recently told MLB.com:

“I think [I'm] going to be patient, we’re really going to focus on my hitting and fielding and anything I can do to help the team win. In regards to running and stealing those bases, I don’t know if I’ll be able to steal the 40 or 50 bags as easily. I think that’s still to be seen. But yeah, I just don’t know how that’s going to play out.”

A truly generational player, fans will be eager to learn the superstar's status as soon as they can.
