The holiday period is fast approaching and McKenzie Buehler, the wife of Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher, Walker Buehler, has managed to spend some quality time with her family.
McKenzie can be seen wearing a shining strapless green sequin dress along with light colored heels in her Instagram post sharing the moments she spent with her family. On the other hand, Buehler wore a pine green suit with brown shoes. A large Christmas tree and other Christmas decorations are visible in the background.
On Monday, McKenzie took to her Instagram handle to share a post which included her family and Santa Claus. She captioned the post as:
"December has already been such a hit!"
The post also featured the couple's only child, daughter Finley Wren Buehler, who they welcomed in January 2024. She was seen being held by Santa Claus in one of the pictures.
McKenzie and Buehler met for the first time when they were in Kindergarten. They started talking to each other when they were in 8th grade.
While speaking to Inside Weddings, Buehler said:
“In the eighth grade, our class went to the mall, and McKenzie walked up to me and asked if I wanted to walk around with her."
“I was pretty shy at the time, and I remember thinking and admiring how confident she must have been to have done that. I was mesmerized," he added
Buehler proposed to McKenzie in November 2020 and they got married in December 2021.
Robbery incident and family moments for McKenzie and Walker Buehler as the pitcher faces a new chapter as a free agent
In October 2024, Mackenzie and Walker Buehler fell victims to a robbery that occurred in Santa Anita Park at Los Angeles. Walker was “unknowingly” robbed of his watch while at a horse race during their weekend outing.
Luckily for them both, they sustained no injuries and the crime is being currently investigated by law enforcers.
Mackenzie recently shared a post on Instagram, on Nov. 26, 2024. In the post, she is seen holding her daughter, Finley Wren, while on a visit to an animal farm.
Mackenzie wrote in the caption:
"A little family quality time at the farm! 🐄🐴🚜"
Walker Buehler has become a free agent after the 2024 season. He missed the entire 2023 season, as he recovered from a Tommy John surgery. He was also injured for about two months in the 2024 season after he suffered a right hip injury.
He struggled in the 2024 regular season, playing 16 games with a win-loss record of 1-6, with an ERA of 5.38. He did win the World Series with the Dodgers in 2024 and closed out the victory for the Los Angeles-based franchise. It was the 8th World Series win for the Dodgers who overcame the Yankees.
Reportedly, the next destination for Buehler could be the New York Yankees or the Atlanta Braves. According to reports, the New York Mets are also interested in signing the free agent pitcher.
