Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Corbin Carroll takes pride in his biracial roots. His father Brant is a white medical professional who grew up in Seattle, while his mother is Taiwanese.
Corbin's mother, Pey-Lin moved to Louisiana from Taiwan with her parents when she was a child.
Speaking about his maternal lineage, Corbin once told the Athletic:
“My mom’s parents both being from Taiwan, they learned English just to communicate with me and my sister. They’d come twice a year for maybe a total of two months, and their food is amazing — they own restaurants in Louisiana.
"And then we went to Taiwan once when I was like 13, and that was pretty eye-opening to sort of see all my mom’s relatives and where they were from and how they experienced life out there.”
Twitter was abuzz today after Corbin's parents were spotted dropping him off during his game for the Arizona Diamondbacks home opener.
MLB fans were beyond moved after the wholesome pictures went viral.
