Since her marriage to Cole Tucker last December, Vanessa Hudgens' proximity to MLB has never been more intimate. In a recent podcast appearance, the esteemed actress discussed her love of playoff season, even if her husband will not be participating.
On October 8, Hudgens participated in an edition of Thomas Ashbourne Live. Amongst a star-studded array of names including Neil Patrick Harris, Ashley Benson, and Rosario Dawson. At one point, Hudgens declared her love for October:
"I think everybody knows that. It is no secret. I love it so much. I love the entire month of October. I love the scary movies, I love dressing up. I love the 'Christmas in the air', the pumpkin matches, the whole nine yards."
Although her husband's team, the Los Angeles Angels, will not be in this year's MLB playoffs, Hudgens still loves the season. It is also her first as a mother after the pair welcomed their first child over the summer.
Vanessa Hudgens gained international acclaim for her role as Gabriella Montez in the beloved film series High School Musical. After rising to prominence, Hudgens dated her co-star Zac Efron from 2005 until 2010, and then fellow actor Austin Butler from 2011 until 2019.

Hudgens and Tucker first began dating in 2020, while the former was playing for the Pittsburgh Pirates. After three years of dating, the pair were wed on December 2, 2023, in Tulum, Mexico at a lavish beachside wedding. In March, Hudgens revealed her pregnancy at the 95th Academy Awards Ceremony in Los Angeles.

In a 2021 interview on the Drew Barrymore Show, Vanessa Hudgens discussed her first encounter with Tucker, who she met at a Yoga class. According to the actress:
"I’m such a go-getter. If I want something or someone, I’m going after him, I fully just slid into his DMs and was like, ‘Hey, it was nice to meet you.’ I think there’s no shame in making the first move. If you want it, why wait for someone else to give you what you want?”
As Tucker enters free agency this offseason, some big choices are ahead for the family. Either way, at least the young couple can revel in Hudgens' favorite season as they chart the next steps of their respective careers.
