Jeffrey Alan Caglianone, born on February 9, 2003, is a standout two-way player in American college baseball, currently pitching and playing first base for the Florida Gators. At 6 feet 5 inches tall, he is considered the premier prospect in the 2024 MLB draft. He was born to Jeff and Johanne Caglianone and grew up in Tampa, Florida. Caglianone attended Henry B. Plant High School, where he began his journey toward professional baseball. In his senior year, he batted .371 with three home runs and achieved a 2.44 ERA, with two saves and 65 strikeouts over 37 1/3 innings pitched.

Continuing his baseball career at the University of Florida, Caglianone excelled as both a starting pitcher and first baseman in his sophomore season. He earned the NCBWA Player of the Month award. He broke the Florida single-season home run record with his 27th homer of the year, finishing the season with a total of 33 home runs. His performance earned him the titles of Consensus First Team All-American and ABCA National Position Player of the Year.

In his senior season in 2024, Caglianone was recognized as the Preseason Two-Way Player of the Year by Perfect Game and named the Preseason First Team All-American. His continued success has cemented his status as a top talent in college baseball and a leading prospect for the upcoming MLB draft.
