Jackson Holliday will become the first member of his family to start a playoff game since 2018 when he suits up this week. While the 20-year-old Orioles phenom might be the most famous member of his baseball-mad family right now, he is far from the only one.

Brady Holliday, Jackson's cousin, is a 10th-grade baseball player at Stillwater High School in Oklahoma, where the entire family has graduated from. On Sunday, Brady took to his Instagram to pay tribute to his girlfriend, Katy Diesselhorst. In his story, Brady wrote: "I love you."

Brady is the son of Josh Holliday, who was drafted by the 1995 Minnesota Twins, but never saw any MLB action. Josh is the brother of Matt Holliday, a seven-time All-Star, whose four kids, including Jackson, are Brady's first cousins.

Although some years separate Brady from his professional baseball debut, the second baseman is already gaining attention. At Stillwater High School, Brady played alongside Jackson Holliday's younger brother Ethan, who is predicted to be a headline pick at next year's draft.

Matt Holliday was drafted by the Colorado Rockies in 1998 and made his MLB debut six seasons later. In 16 seasons in MLB, Holliday won four Silver Sluggers, a batting title and the 2011 World Series.

In 60 games this season for the Baltimore Orioles, Jackson Holliday hit .189/.255/.311 with five home runs and 23 RBIs. He will be the next member of his family to appear in the MLB postseason. However, judging by the skill that his family possesses, he is not likely to be the last.

“Growing up and being able to watch winning baseball for so long, I think that’s kind of the environment that I came to Spring Training and I was like, ‘I think this team has that environment of guys being super close and being super competitive.' To be able to be here and be a part of this is awesome.”
