Jacob Jesus Gonzalez, a.k.a “Jacob Gonzalez,” born on May 30, 2002, in Whittier, California, is an American college baseball shortstop for the Ole Miss Rebels (Mississippi State University) and an upcoming prospect for the 2023’s MLB Draft.
Jacob has been accustomed to baseball since childhood, as he grew up playing the sport. He attended Glendora High School and was a two-sport athlete playing football and baseball alongside the team. With the SGB Hustle, he played for Glendora American Little League.
As a freshman with Mississippi University in 2021, he started 67 games, batting an average of .335, scoring 12 home runs and 55 RBIs along with 16 doubles, and was named to the All-SEC First Team Freshman of the Year and All-American by D1Baseball and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.
In 2022, In his Sophomore, He started 65 games, batting an average of .558, scoring 18 home runs and 52 RBIs, and was also selected for the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team for the second time.
