Jared Jones is an American pitcher who plays for the Pittsburgh Pirates in the Major League Baseball (MLB), as of May 2025. He was drafted by the Pirates with the 44th overall pick out of La Mirada High School in the 2020 MLB draft. He eventually signed with the Pirates instead of playing college baseball for the Texas Longhorns. He made his MLB debut with the Pirates on March 30, 2024.
Hailing from Whittier, California, United States, Jones began his professional career with the Pirates' Minor League Baseball affiliate team Bradenton Marauders in 2021. He also represented the Greensboro Grasshoppers, Indianapolis Indians, and Altoona Curve during his minor league career.
