Jose Carlos Altuve is a Venezuelan baseball player who plays in the Major Leagues Baseball. Altuve plays the position of a second baseman and is currently playing for the team, Houston Astros. He was born on 6 May 1990 and is a Maracay, Venezuela native.


Altuve is an eight times All-Star and a two times World Series Champion. He is a six times Silver Slugger, three times AL batting champion, AP Athlete of the Year, three times AL batting champion, and two times AL stolen base leader. He was also the Sports Illustrated Sportsman of the Year in 2017 and the receiver of the AL Hank Aaron Award.
