Josh Naylor is a pro-level baseball player and holds the nationality of Canada. The 27-year-old (as of October 2024) hails from Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, and was born on June 22, 1997. Nicknamed ‘Nyalz’, the former San Diego Padres player is playing as an outfielder and first baseman for the MLB side Cleveland Guardians as of October 2024. He was drafted by the Guardians during the MLB Draft of 2015 as the 12th overall pick. Naylor debuted with the team in 2019 and was traded to the Cleveland Guardians the following season.

During his amateur career, he played in the Premier Baseball League of Ontario (PBLO) as a player of the Ontario Blue Jays. He was a student at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Secondary School. Naylor played for the junior national baseball team of Canada when was 15 years old. He was also a silver medalist and a bronze medalist in the Baseball World Cup (U-18) in 2012 and 2014, respectively, and competed the following year. The High School All-American first team of Baseball America participated at the MLB Junior Select Home Run Derby as the first Canadian and finished in second place.
