Enrique José Hernández González Jr. is a professional baseball player and plays for the Los Angeles Dodgers. During the 2009 MLB Draft, Kike was drafted by the Houston Astros in the sixth round and was the 191th overall pick.

Kike Hernandez signed a two-year deal worth $14 million with the Boston Red Sox in February 2021 and played center field and second base positions. He batted .250 with 20 home runs and 60 RBIs during that season and had a .408 average during the 2021 postseason, earning an MLB record 34 total bases in five playoff games. In 2022, Hernandez fought through injury and played in 93 games with a .222 average. He signed a contract extension worth $10 million in 2023 and started the Opening Day game as shortstop. Hernandez had to change his position after committing 14 errors in 46 games. Following a .222 batting average with 6 homers in 86 games, he was traded to the Dodgers again in July of 2023.
