American Major League Baseball (MLB) pitcher Logan Tyler Webb plays for the San Francisco Giants. The Giants selected him in the fourth round of high school in the 2014 MLB draft. He was born on November 18, 1996, and made his MLB debut in 2019.


Logan made a deal for a signing bonus of $600,000 in addition to the $440,600 set by Major League Baseball for the location of his selection. At 17, he made his professional debut with the Arizona League Giants, tossing four innings.


Logan avoided salary arbitration by signing a one-year, $4.6 million contract with the Giants on January 13, 2023. Logan started the Giants' second consecutive opening-day game on March 30, 2023. Breaking Madison Bumgarner's franchise record for the most strikeouts by an Opening Day starter, he recorded a career-high 12 strikeouts.

Logan Webb was born to Christie and Erik Webb. Logan's parents once remarked that, as a little kid, Logan had an ambition to play in the major league.


They always encouraged and supported him, never stopping him from pursuing his dreams. Erik, Logan's father, was an avid Oakland A's and Raiders fan growing up in Belmont. He suspected his son, Logan, would pursue football as he had a great passion for the sport during his T-ball days at age 5.

Christie Fecanin Webb, Logan's mother, went to Pioneer High School and Castillero Middle School. She later pursued a marketing degree at San Jose State University. From June 1999 through December 2017, Christie worked for Intel Corporation as a program manager. She owns and runs Blo Blow Dry Bar with the partnership of her mother.


Logan Webb’s Father

Erik Webb, Logan's father, went to Junipero Serra High School and Cal State Monterey Bay. He studied economics and advertising studies at San Jose State University. He was posted as an area sales manager at Credit Lending Services from June 2020 to October 2022 after working as a credit manager at Gateway One Lending & Finance. Veros Credit currently employs him as a regional sales manager.
