Manny Arturo Machado is an American professional baseball third baseman for the San Diego Padres in the Major League Baseball (MLB). He was born on July 6, 1992, in Miami, Florida, U.S. He attended Florida International University. The Baltimore Orioles selected Machado as the third overall pick in the 2010 MLB Draft. Machado played in the Minor Leagues from 2010 to 2011. He debuted his MLB career in 2012 with the Baltimore Orioles. Since then he has also played for the Los Angeles Dodgers, before joining the San Diego Padres in 2019.

Manny Machado is a six-time All-Star, a two-time Gold Glove Award winner, and a two-time Silver Slugger Award winner, as of March 2025. He has also won a Platinum Glove Award in 2013. He has also received first-team All-MLB honors twice in 2020 and 2022 and second-team All-MLB honors in 2024.
