Marcus Allen Phillips, born on April 29, 2004, attended Roosevelt High School where he lettered in both baseball and basketball for four years. He started his baseball journey with the Sioux Falls Cyclones and was rated the No. 2 overall player and pitcher in the state of Iowa. Phillips embarked on his collegiate baseball journey with Iowa Western Community College where he gained recognition for his impressive pitching skills in his freshman season. He garnered a total of 11 strikeouts and registered a 2-0 record in 12.1 innings for the season.
Currently, in his sophomore year with the Tennessee Athletics, Phillips was dominant in his first game against Texas Tech striking out 10 batters and bagging just three hits across 4.1 innings of pitching. Marcus will be honing his skills in 2024 to make himself eligible for the 2025 MLB Draft.
