Matthew John Quatraro is a veteran figure in the world of Major League Baseball (MLB). As of October 2024, he is representing the Kansas City Royals as the manager, a role he has been in since the 2023 season. Quatraro attended Bethlehem Central High School in New York and then Old Dominion University, where he played college baseball. Following his college baseball career, he was drafted by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in the eighth round of the 1996 MLB draft. However, he never progressed to the major leagues and was only limited to the minor leagues for teams.

After Matt Quatraro retired as a player, he initially coached and managed several minor league teams. He was also the assistant coach of the Albany Great Danes baseball team at the University of Albany. He then served as the minor league hitting coordinator for the Tampa Bay Rays from 2010-13 and was later hired by the Cleveland Indians in 2014 as the assistant hitting coach for the team. In 2017, he was hired once again by the Tampa Bay Rays, this time as their third base coach, and later served as their bench coach. Following the 2022 season, he was hired as the manager for the Kansas City Royals and has been carrying in the same role in 2024.
