Matt Saw was born on November 6, 2001, in Brimfield, Massachusetts. He attended Wilbraham & Monson Academy before joining Worcester Academy. He also played collegiate baseball. He has a record of hitting 22 home runs with a batting average of .332 as a freshman at the University of Maryland. He also increased his skill by becoming the Cape Cod MVP honors. Matt Shaw also won the Brooks Wallace Award in 2023. He is one of the better hitters in the Maryland baseball team. He's also a good runner who can easily steal bases for the team. Moreover, he has the ability to hit his home runs in the right field and right center field. He also has good defensive abilities on the outfield, second and third base. Matt Shaw’s batting prowess is the key to him getting drafted in the first round of the 2023 MLB Draft.
