Maxwell Clark, also known as Max Clark, is an American baseball outfielder and pitcher. He plays college baseball at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. Born on December 21, 2004, in Bridgend, Wales, Max was born to parents Richard Clark and Angela Ankey. He attended Franklin Community High School in Franklin, Indiana, where he played as an outfielder and pitcher on their team. He most recently culminated his senior year batting .646 with six home runs, 33 RBIs, and 45 runs scored, while also being named the Gatorade Baseball Player of the Year. His undisputable talent has earned him a potential No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 Major League Baseball draft after a hugely successful high school career.

Max has also represented Team USA at the 2021 WBSC U-18 World Cup, helping lead them to a gold medal with a .294 batting average over eight games. He also has a well above-average arm that produces fastballs clocked up to 97 mph when he takes the mound. His all-round ability makes him a viable candidate for the Pittsburgh Pirates with the top pick, it will be interesting to see where he is headed. During his junior year on the baseball team, Max batted .577 with nine home runs, 32 RBIs, 31 walks, and 22 stolen bases and was named the Indiana Gatorade Baseball Player of the Year for a second straight season. In his senior year, he finished batting .646 with six home runs, 33 RBIs, and 45 runs scored and was named the Gatorade Baseball Player of the Year.
