Maxwell Steven Muncy is a professional baseball player who plays for the Los Angeles Dodgers in Major League Baseball (MLB). He hails from Midland, Texas, and attended Baylor University. In the 2012 MLB Draft, Muncy was picked by the Oakland Athletics in the fifth round and became the 169th overall pick.

Max Muncy signed with the Dodgers in 2017, making 35 home runs in 2018 and 2019, and earned his first All-Star selection in 2019. Muncy was a key player during the 2018 World Series with a walk-off homer in the 18th inning of Game 3. In 2020, he contributed to the Dodgers' World Series championship with a grand slam in the NLCS and a .318 average in the Fall Classic. Muncy hit 100 home runs in the 2021 season and was voted to his second All-Star Game, but a dislocated elbow ended his season. In 2022, Muncy registered a .196 batting average and in 2023 made 36 home runs and a career-high 105 RBIs, earning a two-year contract extension. In 2024, he faced an oblique strain yet had 15 home runs in 73 games, tying the Dodgers' franchise postseason record for home runs with 13, and recorded a new high with 12 straight on-base appearances within one playoff series. In 2025, Muncy became the fourth player in MLB history to record a hit in five different countries: the United States, Mexico, South Korea, Japan, and Canada.
