Team Mexico will play their final group stage game of the World Baseball Classic (WBC) against Team Canada on Wednesday, March 15. The Pool C game will take place at 12 p.m. local time in Chase Field, Phoenix.
Mexico enter their final game of the group stage at the top of Pool C after defeating Great Britain 2-1 in an intensely tight affair on Tuesday. They started their WBC campaign with a disappointing loss to Colombia on the opening day. But they found their stride after that and went on to beat Team USA 11-5.
Team Canada sit in third place on equal points with Mexico and USA. This means that one of these three teams will be eliminated and there's still a lot to play for in the group. The Canadians have won against Great Britain and Colombia while suffering their only loss at the hands of the USA.
Here's the television schedule for the next few days of the tournament:
- March 15, 12 p.m. (ET) Mexico vs. Canada
- March 15, 7 p.m. (ET) United States vs. Colombia

There is everything to play for in Pool C of the WBC as Mexico and Canada prepare to lock horns
Team Mexico have one of the strongest lineups in the group and they have shown it in their performances. MLB stars Randy Arozarena, Javier Assad and Julio Urias have all played their part in Mexico's impressive run so far. It is no easy feat to blow Team USA out of the water like they did. If they manage to qualify into the next round, they promise to be a tough team to beat.
Team Canada have also had a decent showing in the WBC so far. They have done well apart from their 12-1 defeat to the USA. Their star players include Freddie Freeman, Abraham Toro and Otto Lopez, all of whom have done well in the tournament.
Both teams are offensively very strong, which means that we can expect a high scoring game. Moreover, it is one of the last games of the group stage which will determine who qualifies for the knockout stages.
