Michael Nelson Trout is an American professional baseball center fielder currently on the Los Angeles Angels of Major League Baseball (MLB).

Mike was born on August 7, 1991, in Vineland, New Jersey and went to Millville Senior High School in Millville. He played both baseball and basketball in school.

Selected by the Angels in the first round of the 2009 MLB draft, Mike has not looked back ever since. Widely regarded as one of the best players in the league currently, Mike has won numerous accolades during his time in the majors. He is a three-time AL MVP winner, an eleven-time MLB All-Star, a whopping nine-time Silver Slugger Awardee, and twice the recipient of the Hank Aaron Award.

Mike’s has earned a silver for his national team in the final of the 2023 World Baseball Classic.

Mike was named the Gatorade National Baseball Player of the Year in 2009 and the New Jersey Gatorade Player of the Year. He started as a pitcher and shortstop earlier in his career and shifted to the outfield during his senior year.

Mike was drafted by the Los Angeles Angels in the first round of the 2009 MLB draft and made his MLB debut in 2011.
