Mitch Garver, who was born on January 15, 1991, is a catcher and designated hitter who plays for the Seattle Mariners in the Major League Baseball (MLB). He attended La Cueva High School in Alburquerque, New Mexico and was named the Albuquerque Public Schools Male Athlete of the Year in 2009 for excelling at both baseball and soccer. He played college baseball while attending the University of New Mexico and also participated in the Cape Cod Baseball League's collegiate summer season for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks, where he was named a league all-star.

Following his collegiate career, Garver was picked by the Minnesota Twins in the ninth round of the 2013 MLB draft. He played in the minor leagues for over three years and made his MLB debut on August 19, 2017, representing the Twins. The 2023 World Series champion and the 2019 Silver Slugger Award winner moved to the Texas Rangers in 2022 before joining the Seattle Mariners in 2024.
