Sunday was filled with action-packed games where top teams like the LA Dodgers, New York Yankees and Baltimore Orioles tasted success while at the same time finding value in those who weren't as impressive early in the season.

Let's go through what happened in the MLB on Sunday, highlighting how the league has been taking its course since the trade deadline.

Yankees third baseman DJ LeMahieu has started to crack up in the last few games after only hitting .184 on the season. The other day, he contributed six RBIs and a home run in their sweep against the Philadelphia Phillies. On Sunday, he came up clutch, hitting the game-winning single through a five-man infield in the 10th inning.

This helped the Yankees walk it off against the Blue Jays with a 4-3 victory, clinching the three-game series.

#2. Dodgers win series against Athletics

The A's were never the ones who could threaten the Dodgers, and yet they won the first game of the series 6-5. The Dodgers responded with a blowout 10-0 victory but the last game, which should have been another blowout, resulted in an intense and close encounter.

The Dodgers still came out on top, only winning 3-2 in a pitching spectacle from both sides. Kike Hernandez's two RBIs helped the franchise register the series win.

#3. Jackson Holliday shines yet again; Orioles win 9-5 over Guardians

Jackson Holliday's return to the majors has been a completely different story than how he looked in his first round, where he went 2-for-34. Upon his return, he has gone 7-for-18 (.389) with two home runs and seven RBIs in five games, proving his stature as baseball's top prospect.

He blasted the second home run of his career on Sunday against the Cleveland Guardians. In the fourth inning, he barreled Cleveland starter Gavin Williams for a 362-foot shot to right field. The Orioles won the game 9-5, keeping pace with the Yankees in the top spot in the AL East.
